Friday Bulletin, December already!

Disciplinary Matters

Some clarifications following last week’s Society meeting.

Assurances have been sought from, and given by, the North Midlands RFU that they continue to consider every report of RC-sending off and alleged MOA carefully on its own merits and do not ‘dispose’ of any reports without due process.

Personnel changes

Sunday Appointments: Alex Nock has taken over the duties of Sunday appointments. He can be contacted on sundays@northmidsrefs.co.uk; his telephone number is also on our Appointments Team page

Development Director: Due to pressure of work, Huw Jenkins has had to step down from his Board position as Development Director. As a temporary measure (any such changes need to be confirmed by an AGM), Leonie Pryor is taking on some of Huw’s duties in a slightly different role which will include overseeing how we deal with new members. Leonie is now contactable on membership@northmidsrefs.co.uk. In turn, Tony Jones is taking over the responsibility of the YMO role from Leonie, and can be contacted on ymo@northmidsrefs.co.uk

IMPORTANT!

Now more than ever there is a real need for more members to step forward to help with some small jobs just to take the pressure away from the hardworking board, all of whom give their time 100% voluntarily. One role we really need to fill is for a member to assist with arranging training sessions. Working with our Training Director Neil Chivers, we need someone to book venues, ensure details are circulated; the role will also involve some club liaison and inviting players to our sessions. This is a relatively small job but will be of immense help. Please email Kelvin on chair@northmidsrefs.co.uk if you are able to help

John Kelly – 50 up! (again..)

Always one of our most hardworking referees John reliably informs us that this coming weekend he is likely to fulfil his 50th Society appointment since Finals Day in May! Congratulations and thanks to John for his tireless work!

The latest Match Official Update from the RFU is available by clicking here: it includes a great feature on the RFU’s drive to bring more female officials into the game, spearheaded by our own Leonie Pryor

One Comment on “Friday Bulletin, December already!

  1. In the Midlands all the courses have occurred, it makes the RFU look out of touch ,publishing dates which are post dated makes the RFU ridiculous
