How long have you been refereeing for? I retired last season after my second Hip replacement. I refereed for over 30 years.
First match you can remember refereeing? Combe Down 3rds v Walcot Old Boys 3rds – my Dad was playing
Why did you start refereeing? Injury to shoulder
Favourite ground to ref at? Bath (The Rec)
Best refereeing moment? Refereeing the Quarter final of the RWC 2003 – South Africa v New Zealand.
The last game you refereed? Chard 3rds v Yatton 3rds
Pre match food? Beans on Toast
Any pre match rituals or superstitions? Brush my hair!
One piece of advice to a new referee? Have fun
