David Winter – more details from his eldest son daniel

Hi everyone, i’m sure that word has spread that my dad sadly passed away at 7:56pm Sunday night. He was in hospital for 3 weeks since the 13th January after the self isolation period (tested pos for covid on the 4th Jan) and contracted too many illnesses in the short time span that his body couldn’t recover. I know he was always an outspoken person at meetings and wasn’t afraid to speak his mind but he respected everyone.

David Winter R.I.P

It was with great sadness that I have to tell you of the death of David Winter. David died yesterday (Sunday 14th) after a short illness. He was 48 years old

David joined us in 2014 whilst retaining a joint membership with our colleagues in Staffordshire. Always keen to help he was a keen referee and could be relied upon to referee as much as he possibly could. He will be sadly missed.

Rest in Peace David

Calum Watson Appointments

Callum, a Society Member who currently referees for the Midland Group has received appointments at the Women’s Premiership games, two as the fourth official and one as an AR. This Saturday (subject to testing negative for Covid on Thursday) he will again be an AR this time in the game Worcester Warriors v Exeter Chiefs.

Well done Callum
