AGM final reminder

This is the final reminder that the Society AGM will take place at Five Ways Old Edwardians RFC at 7pm on Wednesday 27th April.

Reviewers/developers: save the date

The date has now been set for all Reviewers to come together for a look back on the season, to take place on Sunday 22 May at Five Ways Old Edwardians RFC. It will be an opportunity for feedback as well as information on changes for the following 2022-23 season. Lunch will be provided on the day, and it will be an opportunity to catch up with others that you may not have seen for a while.

Touch referee training

There are still a couple of places available on the ‘Introduction to Touch Rugby’ refereeing course. The date for this online course has now been confirmed as Thursday 28th April at 7pm, and will cost £10 per person. Please email Julian on before the end of today Friday 22 April if you still want to participate.

Autumn Nations Series Tickets

Tickets are now on sale for the Autumn Internationals featuring England, which are as follows:

  • Sunday 6 November 2022 – England v Argentina – KO 14:15
  • Saturday 12 November 2022 – England v Japan – KO 15:15
  • Saturday 19 November 2022 – England v New Zealand – KO 17:30
  • Saturday 26 November 2022 – England v South Africa – KO 17:30

If you would like tickets, please contact Dave Thomas before 5 May with your requirements. Please note the system of payment changed for this seasons Six Nations. Members will now be advised directly by the RFU of the tickets allocated and how to make payment direct and not via the Society. The payment request should be sent to you towards the end of August.

Peter Evans

Peter’s funeral will take place at Gornal Wood Crematorium DY3 2RL on Monday 9 May at 1140am, followed by a gathering at Dudley Kingswinford RFC. If you plan to attend the post-service gathering please inform Mike Spencer in order to gauge catering numbers.

It’s your website!

Julian is still accepting submissions for ideas to revamp the Society website duringthe off-season: please submit these to by the end of April. Remember, if you don’t suggest it, it has no chance of being considered!
