NMSRFR goes International!

It’s International Weekend – no not just the Six Nations –  Moseley RFC is hosting England Deaf Rugby v Jamaica on Sunday 26th February, and the Society is providing two teams of 3: For the men’s match Peter Hunt will be assisted by Lewis Courtney and Ben Price, and for the women’s match Dylan Gough will be assisted by Patricia Bartlam-Clarke and a further AR to be confirmed. All support will be welcome.

A little further afield Admin Director Michael Patz and our President John Kelly are officiating again at the Bangkok International Tens on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th February. This tournament returns for the first time in 3 years after COVID caused cancellations in 2021 and 2022.  Kel has been a regular at this event since 2009 and Michael since 2011.  The late Alan Biggs was able to join them for a few trips before his untimely death.

The Bangkok event will be live-streamed, and a link should be available on the tournament’s Facebook page by clicking here

Next Training Date

The next Training evening will be on 07.03.23, online using the Zoom platform, and in preparation for the summer (yes already!) the main topic will be Touch. In addition we had hoped to have a professional referee join us, but unfortunately due to 6 Nations, World Rugby, and Premiership commitments, the appearance has been postponed until sometime later this year.

Make sure you check next week’s bulletin as there will be video clips to have a look at in advance of the meeting on 7th March.
