Young Match Officials (YMO)

The North Mids YMO Programme

Our YMO programme is now well established, and has a great reputation for identifying and bringing through new referee talent from the age of 15. The Society regularly runs RFU-accredited training courses specifically aimed at YMOs, and our YMO coordinator ensures that there are lots of match and tournament opportunities all over our region.

YMO Mentors

Each YMO is allocated a mentor for every game that they referee. Our team of YMO Mentors are active and experienced Society referees who kindly offer their valuable time to ensure the next generation of match officials get off to the best start. The YMO team is backed by a team of superstar volunteers: without these people the YMO project simply wouldn’t be viable:
