What’s your day job? Claims Relationship Consultant for a national Insurance Company

How long have you been refereeing ?10 years

First match you can remember ? Droitwich 3rd v Ledbury 3rd on a very hot April afternoon!

Why did you start refereeing? I got dragged into helping out coaching my son’s age group when he was 6 and I was then “volunteered” to do the refs course. Having done the course I thought I ought to give it a go!

Favourite venue to referee at ? Camp Hill (That’s a tenner you owe me Jim Looney!)

Best refereeing moment so far? There are two: refereeing Probables v Possibles for England Deaf Rugby 4 years ago and being one of the referees for the group that broke the World Record for the Longest Marathon Rugby Union match in at Sixways in 2018

The last game you refereed ? Upton on Severn v Coventrians – belting game of rugby!

Pre-match meal? Full english – but at least 4 hours before kick off then nothing else!

pre-match rituals or superstition ? I don’t put my match shirt on until just before I go out

One piece of advice for new referees ? Enjoy it!

Best piece of advice you were given ? If it looks wrong, it probably is!
