Jim was successfully nominated by the Society for his ongoing work as a volunteer. Although rewarded for the year 2020 this award really covers years of dedication to the Society as a referee (level 6) at his peak, a watcher, a referee coach and more lately as the contact who looks after referees on match days at Camp Hill RFC.
Jim has battled cancer for many years, his wife died tragically young leaving him a teenage girl to bring up but he just refuses to be beaten. His current plans on the refereeing side are watching on a Saturday and refereeing the occasional game on a Sunday.
Congratulations on the award Jim, fully deserved.
